The Role
We are looking for a Team Leader to join our well-established Estates and Facilities Directorate at Canterbury Christ Church University
The Team Leader will support the Kitchen Operations Manager in the day to day running of the Lounge Bar, lead and develop a professional customer focussed team for the Campus Catering Service to students, staff and external customers. The post holder will be expected to oversee and support the Lounge Bar team in all aspects of daily operations, delivering an innovative, reliable and high-quality experience for students, staff and external visitors.
The Person
We are searching for a highly motivated individual with a flexible approach and be able to meet the expectations of providing a consistent and quality service to students, staff and external visitors.
The ideal candidate will be:

Customer focused with strong communication skills, with the ability to achieve agreed individual and team goals
- Able to lead a small team at the Lounge Bar with a strong focus on good customer service, good quality, sustainable and cost-effective offering.
- To build strong relationships with relevant groups and departments, to provide an exceptional student and staff experience.
- Deputise for the Kitchen Operations Manager with the support of the Deputy catering Manager when required to ensure service delivery is met, working with the team to be proactive in assisting with Hospitality, Events, licensed activities.
- Team player to be consistently working with colleagues to ensure the best service is offered.
