Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Project Manager to manage the end-to-end delivery of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) switchgear solutions within high-tech data centre environments. The role involves overseeing projects from technical design and procurement through to installation, testing (FAT/SAT), and commissioning.
The successful candidate will ensure that critical power infrastructure is delivered safely, on time, and within budget, ensuring compliance with both company standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead the full project lifecycle for switchgear and electrical infrastructure, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Technical Management: Interpret and create technical drawings, single-line diagrams to manage the installation of HV/LV switchgear, transformers, and busbar systems.
- Technical Knowledge: be able to problem solve and find root causes of faults and scenarios. Having a base knowledge of PLC systems would be an advantage.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health & safety standards (OSHA/HSE/CDM) on site, focusing on hazardous energy control and safe electrical isolation (NFPA 70E/NETA).
- Schedule & Procurement: Develop and monitor project schedules, ensuring timely Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Financial Control: Manage project P&L, including cost forecasting, change orders, and budgetary control.
- Coordination: Coordinate with MEP contractors, structural teams, and owner stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of power systems in a live or under-construction data centre.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically focusing on critical electrical infrastructure (switchgear, UPS, generators) within data centre or mission-critical environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of MV/LV electrical power distribution components and NETA testing standards.
- Site Management: Proven experience in managing subcontractors and site installations.
- Certifications: PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
