We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the kitchen, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for chefs and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Receive, unpack, and store deliveries appropriately.
- Clean kitchen floors, surfaces, storage areas, and equipment.
- Ensure all cleaning materials are used safely and stored correctly.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen porter or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
- Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices is an advantage.
