Position: Restaurant Manager
Location: Board and Barrel, High Street, Chislehurst, BR7 5AE
Reports To: Owner
Must have the flexibility to do late shifts till 11pm and work weekends

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have previous supervisory experience, preferably with knowledge of wine and cheese. *
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and support the front-of-house team to ensure excellent customer service and smooth operations.
· Assist in training and developing staff, ensuring high standards of performance and adherence to restaurant policies.
· Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.
· Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally, striving to resolve any issues promptly.
· Oversee the setup and cleanliness of the dining area, ensuring a pleasant environment for guests.
· Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
· Assist the Restaurant Manager in various administrative tasks and reports as needed.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Conduct regular staff meetings to keep the team informed and motivated.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or bar setting.
· Strong knowledge of wine and cheese pairings is preferred.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
· High standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
