About the Role & You
We are seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer to design and oversee the installation of new street lighting along with maintaining existing street light assets. Providing advice and guidance to others on the technical requirements of new street light designs. The role also involves managing the work the term contractor carries out on the street light stock ensuring compliance with standards and ensuring the asset information is up to date. The team provides a blend of operational and strategic responsibilities, offering the opportunity to represent Bath & North East Somerset at local, regional, and national levels.
This is a career graded post. If appointed at Engineer level, the successful candidate will progress to Senior Engineer when the relevant skills, qualifications and experience can be demonstrated.
Salary:
- Engineer- £38,220 - £40,777 per annum (Grade 8)

Senior Engineer- £42,839 - £46,142 per annum (Grade 9)
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
- Engineer: Experience in the design, installation and maintenance of Street Lighting.
