Can you help tell the story of how Hospice care helps local people?
At St Leonard’s Hospice, we are looking for skilled communicator to join as Communications Lead – Clinical & Corporate to amplify the charity’s message, supporting colleagues across clinical and corporate teams to:
- Educate professionals about the services the Hospice offers, the range of conditions with which we support people and when/how to make referrals for the patient’s greatest benefit
- Making sure patients, families and carers know what help the Hospice offers and how they can access our support
- Campaigning for changes in public policy and awareness of palliative and end-of-life issues
This post is intended to work collaboratively across the Hospice to create and share insight-based, audience-focused communications to engage our key audiences.
The role will involve creating compelling content for use across channels, showcasing the value of the Hospice’s work and the difference it makes for patients, families and carers.
To fulfil the Communications Lead – Clinical & Corporate role, you will need:
- Experience in a similar role
- The ability to create compelling written and visual outputs, online and in print
- Track record of evaluating campaigns to support continuous improvement

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, usually Mon-Fri though occasional evening and weekend work will be required. This role supports working from home, though a regular presence on site at the Hospice is essential. The salary band for this role is £28,555 to £31,337 per annum.
