Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of patrons and premises at our venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining order, preventing loss, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a confident presence, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to any incidents. All positions are paid, including internships, with opportunities for career development within the security industry.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entry points and conduct thorough checks to verify identification and age where applicable
- Enforce venue policies and ensure compliance with licensing laws and safety regulations
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity within the premises
- Prevent theft, unauthorised access, and disorderly conduct through proactive engagement and intervention
- Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, providing first aid if necessary
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential troublemakers and promote a safe environment
- Record detailed incident reports accurately and submit them to management as required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during events or busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- First aid certification is highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a confident demeanour
- Organised with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during special events as required
