We are a newly founded children's residential home based in Knowsley, we are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a solo placement children's home.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the home, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained and that the young people receive consistent, nurturing and individualised support.
You will provide strong leadership to the staff team, promote positive outcomes for the young people and ensure the home continues to meet all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of the children’s home.
- Ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing and child-focused environment.
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Ensure each young person has a comprehensive, individualised care plan that reflects their emotional, educational, social, cultural and health needs.
- Regularly review and update care plans and placement plans to ensure they remain appropriate and effective.
- Provide effective leadership, supervision, guidance and support to the staff team.
- Recruit, develop and retain a stable, skilled and motivated workforce.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in line with the needs of the young people.
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with families, local authorities, social workers and other external professionals.
- Ensure the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements and relevant children’s residential care legislation.
- Monitor and manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the service is consistently prepared for regulatory inspection.
- Promote a positive culture where the needs, wishes and feelings of the children and young people remain at the centre of decision-making.
- Contribute to the continued development and growth of the service and wider organisation.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager who is passionate about providing outstanding care and support to children and young people.
You will be confident in leading a residential childcare team and have a strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted expectations and the regulatory framework surrounding children’s residential care.
Essential / Desirable Requirements
- Previous management experience within a children’s residential setting.
- Experience working with vulnerable children and young people with complex needs.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential care legislation.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or an equivalent qualification. Candidates who are willing to work towards the qualification will also be considered.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
