We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join our Technical Services team at Wythenshawe Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems across a busy healthcare environment, responding to work orders, conducting fault diagnostics, and ensuring health and safety compliance. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, participate in emergency cover, and contribute to a high standard healthcare facility. What You’ll Do:

Responsible for responding to PDA work orders, completing with supporting evidence, and ensuring timely resolution.

Conduct installation, repair, and corrective maintenance following Sodexo SSOW and health AND safety requirements.

Perform fault finding diagnostics on plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and building systems within a healthcare environment.

Participate in emergency response duties, including out of hours on call, 15 minute response, and lift release procedures.

Work independently and may be required to work out of hours, including pre planned maintenance and working at heights.

Use all relevant tools, equipment, and access equipment safely and effectively within the field.

Engage in Continued Professional Development (CPD) at onsite and external training providers to enhance skills and knowledge.
What You Bring:
-
NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Plumbing
-
Knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274
-
Willing to learn and go on courses to add to current qualifications
-
Experience in healthcare or large, complex sites is an advantage, but not essential.

Confidence diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
-
A good working knowledge of health and safety regulations
-
Experience of working with live drains
-
Ability to use Microsoft applications and PDA
