Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team. This role involves supporting the preparation and cooking of meals in a busy kitchen environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and experience working in a fast-paced culinary setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and build on previous kitchen experience in a unique hospitality setting.
NOTE TO CANDIDATE: The contract is on an annulised basis meaning it is permanent and offers generous paid time off during the month of November to February when the Clubhouse is closed. The salary will be reflective of this and is negotiable depending on experience.
This role does not qualify for sponsorship and is live out. We are not on a public transport route so reliable transport is essential.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Work closely with the Head Chef and the Kitchen Manager during service
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff
- Assist when necessary in maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area,
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Help with meal assembly and presentation to ensure timely service
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to promote a safe working environment
- Have a learning and development mindset that is eager to progress
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential
- At least basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
- Experience in meal preparation and serving within a busy setting will be highly regarded
- A genuine interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills is essential
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food service in a fast paced but fun setting. This role has flexibility in the hours and we are very open to flexibility in hours / days for the right candidate. Sponsorship is not available for this role and UK right to work must be in place before applying.
Pay: £13.45-£17.00 per hour
