Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
- Supporting the kitchen team with cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
- Ensuring waste disposal is handled correctly and that recycling procedures are followed.
- Restocking supplies and ensuring all areas are prepared for service periods.
- Assisting with the organisation of deliveries and stock movement within the kitchen.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if necessary.
- A positive approach to teamwork and willingness to learn new skills related to hospitality and culinary operations.
Please note that the individual must have access to their own transport due to rural location.
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
