Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, making them feel valued and comfortable from the start
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using phone etiquette and reservation systems
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the venue or services
- Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure smooth seating arrangements and timely service flow
- Handle guest inquiries politely and professionally, addressing any special requests or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
- Assist with general guest services, including providing directions or information about amenities
Skills
- Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations, inquiries, and guest interactions over the phone
- Knowledge of hotel or restaurant operations is a plus, enhancing guest service delivery
- Ability to remain calm, friendly, and professional during busy periods
- Experience in serving or guest services helps in understanding guest needs better
- Good organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
