The Role - Shop Manager – Ashley Cross Boutique
Love fashion, people, and making things happen?
We're looking for an energetic, creative, and commercially minded Shop Manager to lead our fabulous Ashley Cross Boutique. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy retail environment, loves visual merchandising, and enjoys inspiring a team to achieve great results.
No two days are the same in charity retail. One day you could be creating a stunning window display, the next uncovering a hidden gem in a donation bag, coaching volunteers, or celebrating a record sales day. If you're someone who rolls up their sleeves, leads from the front, and enjoys working hard while having fun, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
As Shop Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring it looks amazing, performs brilliantly, and delivers an exceptional experience for every customer and donor who walks through the door.
You'll:
- Drive sales and maximise income for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
- Create eye-catching displays and inspiring shop layouts.
- Lead, motivate, and support a fantastic team of staff and volunteers.
- Sort and manage donations, ensuring stock is presented to a high standard.
- Deliver excellent customer service and build relationships within the local community.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and compliance.
- Use your retail knowledge and commercial flair to spot opportunities and grow sales.
- Promote the work of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care and help make a difference in your local community.
While Ashley Cross will be your home store, there may occasionally be opportunities to support other Lewis-Manning shops during holidays or unforeseen absences.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and passionate about retail.
You'll have:
- Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
- Strong people skills and the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- A good understanding of visual merchandising and retail presentation.
- Experience working with customers and delivering outstanding service.
- An understanding of safe working practices within a retail environment.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- An awareness of social media and its role in promoting retail activity.
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Why Join Us?
At Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, every sale helps support local people and families living with life-limiting illnesses. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team where your ideas are valued, your hard work is recognised, and your contribution genuinely makes a difference.
If you're passionate about retail, love working with people, and want a role that's rewarding, challenging, and a lot of fun, we'd love to hear from you.
At Lewis-Manning Hospice Care we welcome applications from all parts of the community and encourage all interested candidates with the above skills and experience to apply for the role
Applications for this role will close on 28 June 2026 with interviews expected to be held on 9 July 2026.
