Job Title: Security Supervisor
Location: Broadway Shopping Centre
Hours: 12 hours 07.00 - 19.00 / 4-on-4-off
Lead a dynamic dual-service team where your leadership directly impacts operational excellence and team development.
Key Objectives
Responsible for the teams, ensuring that deployment levels are maintained in line with core hours/site rota.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Dual Service Manager, review work performance of the cleaning and security team to ensure the required standards are met daily
- Monitor performance standards for the site daily and report any issues to Dual Service Manager
- Ensure staffing levels are in line with the contractual agreement; supporting the recruitment function as required
- Advise the Dual Service Manager of stock levels and uniform requirements for the site
- Report time keeping issues to the Dual Service Manager
- Ensure that proper and accurate records are maintained for all consumable stock items
- Ensure that Dual Service Manager is informed of all matters that are of interest or concern at the earliest possible opportunity
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with contractors to the site and site retailers
- Demonstrate an understanding of current H&S legislation
- Ensure that incidents are reported promptly by cleaning operatives and security officers in line with company procedure. Ensure that the Dual Service Manager is advised of all incidents
- Ensure all cleaning and security patrols are completed correctly each day. Update the Dual Service Manager of non-reporting including defects, photos and written update
- Ensure DOB is completed correctly each day of your shift, check hourly that this is completed to expected standards to include all accidents, incidents, breaks, daily occurrences for accountability
- Ensure your rota team are carrying out all expected duties
- Review all hand over documentation to ensure they are completed correctly and include all details
- Assist in the recruitment of high calibre candidates to ensure the organisation can plan for the future positions
- Support the Dual Service Manager in holiday management for the cleaning and security team, providing cover as required
- Ensure equipment issues are reported in a timely manner and that regular inspections are carried out by checking the GEOPAL maintenance check sheet
- Ensure operators understand the cleaning specification and are compliant in the completion of tasks specified therein
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members and carry out any onsite training needed to ensure your team is compliant and competent
- Motivate individuals to achieve required standards
- Deliver on the centre's standards and expectations
- Conduct training for the team, ensuring refresher training is conducted periodically. Maintain training records
- Ensure all team operators receive quarterly appraisals in line with company policy
- H&S processes including maintenance checks, patrols, defects
- Any other duties as directed by the Dual Service Manager
Requirements
- Supervision of teams
- Ability to work and integrate in an already established team
- Understanding and experience of COSHH
- Experience in cleaning and security specification compliance
- Staff development and appraisal
- Valid SIA Licence and First Aid Certification
