Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in an appropriate environment (factory / mechanic / warehouse) , with the ability to assemble components using both power and hand tools. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet quality standards and are assembled efficiently.
The assembly involves transportable fairground rides. The job involves working outdoors (in all weathers, company clothing provided), sometimes at height (PPE provided), often too tight schedules. the ability to work accurately under pressure is essential, as is your personal reliability and responsibility for your own work.
Duties
- Assemble mechanical components and systems according to drawings and in-house procedures
- Utilise various power tools and hand tools to complete assembly tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes, epsecially for new products being developed.
- Report any issues or discrepancies in materials or assembly processes to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge, with experience in a similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with common assembly processes.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks.
- Good attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- License to drive in the UK
