Job Purpose
The Events Officer will support the planning, organisation, promotion, and delivery of a range of events. The role is responsible for helping ensure events run smoothly, provide a positive experience for attendees, and meet organisational objectives.
This position requires a flexible and enthusiastic individual who can work independently and as part of a team, adapting working hours to suit the event programme.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Coordination
- Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of events.
- Liaise with venues, suppliers, contractors, volunteers, and attendees as required.
- Support event logistics, including equipment, catering, signage, and venue setup.
- Maintain event schedules, checklists, and records.
Event Delivery
- Attend and support events, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Ensure events are set up and delivered to a high standard.
- Act as a point of contact for attendees, guests, and suppliers during events.
- Help resolve issues that arise before, during, or after events.
Administration
- Maintain accurate records and event documentation.
- Process bookings, registrations, and attendee communications.
- Assist with monitoring event budgets and expenses.
- Produce post-event reports and feedback summaries.
Marketing and Promotion
- Support the promotion of events through social media, websites, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Creating engaging content to increase attendance and awareness.
- Distribute marketing materials and event information.
Health and Safety
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
- Carrying out risk assessments where required.
- Help ensure events are delivered safely and in compliance with organisational policies.

Additional Information
This role is contracted for 15 hours per week any extra hours will be given in TOIL. Working hours will vary according to the event programme and may be spread across any day of the week. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support the successful delivery of events.
