The post of Senior/Intermediate Engineer shall suit a highly competent design engineer with excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
The post holder shall work as part of the team structure to perform key duties on projects, and as necessary, provide design and project management support from initial concept planning through to design and commissioning.
Responsibilities of the post shall be completed with minimal supervision and include managing others to achieve this aim. S/He shall be able to demonstrate a track record in developing and maintaining relationships and providing high quality services. S/He shall be able to take a lead on challenging projects with an emphasis on innovation and new techniques in sustainable engineering, building physics and building information modelling. S/He shall receive a range of professional and on-the-job training covering technical skills development, interpersonal, communication and leadership development. Guidance and support shall be provided to ensure you reach your full potential.
The successful post holder shall have an outgoing personality and a good work ethic coupled with a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude.

Essential Criteria
- Qualified to Degree, or higher level, in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering degree or minimum of 3 years (for Intermediate post) or 8 years (for Senior post) design experience within a consultancy, or related environment.
- Demonstrable experience of working on projects across a range of sectors.
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional manner and well presented.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Up-to-date membership of relevant professional body.
- Proven ability to harness and develop strong Client relationships.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent and design calculation packages.
- Access to car and clean driving licence.

- Demonstrable experience of successful delivery of high value complex projects.
- Demonstrable experience of providing high quality client centred services
- Experience of Building Information Modelling and 3D modelling tools and techniques.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrable experience of energy efficient design.
- Certified Low Carbon Energy Assessor with experience of Thermal Modelling using IES Virtual Environment.
