Access Your Care is an established lead provider for home care in North Somerset, and we are looking to develop our home care team to keep in line with demand for our services.
As an Adult Care Worker your responsibilities will be varied, including:
- Assisting clients with personal care.
- Administering medication.
- Nutrition and hydration support.
- Using specialist equipment and correct manual handling procedures to assist clients who are less mobile.
- Offering companionship, support and a friendly ear, giving clients social nourishment.
Whether you’re an experienced carer or new to the sector we would like to hear from you. We will support you throughout your career with:
- A weeklong paid classroom-based induction, giving you the knowledge you need for the role.
- An extensive shadowing period of 2-3 weeks with a senior carer, to put what you’ve learned into practice.
- Ongoing support and yearly refresher training.
- Regular team meetings and updates.
- Fully funded qualifications up to level 5.

Financials:
Base earnings worth up to £27,352.00 per year (if working 45 hours per week)
-Double pay on Bank holidays, paid at £26.00 per hour
- Paid travel time between clients at £12.71 per hour, worth up to £3,344.64 per year (if working 45 hours per week) (not all care providers pay for travel time, but we do)
- Paid mileage for drivers paid at 45p per mile, worth up to £2,106.60 per year.
- Every six months you will get the proud to care bonus, paid to you for working for a North Somerset lead provider, worth up to £1,180.00 per year. You get this just for working for us.
- Adding together your base earnings, travel time, mileage and the proud to care bonus, you could be earning £33,983.24 per year (if working 45 hours per week).
- You will be paid your full call time, not minute by minute, meaning that if your call finishes a few minutes early, you don’t miss out.
- Receive a £1,000 joining bonus for joining us.
- Earn £250 for every employee referral you make, this is uncapped.

- You will get a fixed two week rolling rota, agreed on by you. This means you will always know when you are and are not working. No random drops in hours, no guessing when you’ll be next working.
- Only working one in every two weekends.
- Set shift times, mornings (07:00-14:00) and afternoons (16:00-22:00).
