Head recreational Gymnastics
It is all evening and weekend work, we are open seven days a week , full-time or significant part-time position hours available . This will involve coaching but does also include admin hours for lesson planning and other management responsibilities .
We are a small club, and although we have a couple of GFA squads we are really all about recreational Gymnastics for young children. This role would suit either somebody who is ready to take their first steps with management type responsibilities or somebody with more significant experience .
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Head of Recreational Gymnastics to lead our community’s gymnastics programs. This dynamic role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and management of recreational gymnastics activities designed to promote physical fitness, skill development, and enjoyment for participants of all ages and abilities. As a key leader within our organization, you will inspire and motivate both staff and participants, fostering a positive environment that encourages growth, safety, and fun. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality recreational gymnastics experiences that align with our mission to promote healthy lifestyles through engaging sports programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive recreational gymnastics curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise gymnastics instructors and coaching staff to ensure consistent delivery of engaging and safe classes.
- Coordinate class schedules, registration processes, and facility usage to maximize program participation.
- Monitor participant progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt programs to meet diverse needs.
- Promote a positive team environment by fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm among staff and participants.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards, risk management protocols, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote programs through community outreach, events, and social media channels.
Experience
- Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching within a gymnastics or similar physical activity setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams or programs in a recreational sports environment.
- Strong background in developing age-appropriate instructional plans that emphasize skill development and enjoyment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to gymnastics facilities and activities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants and staff.
