We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Computing to join our growing curriculum team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across Computing programmes from Level 1 to Level 3, to include Digital T Level pathways in Software Development and Digital Support Services.
Applicants should possess relevant industry knowledge and experience, ideally within software development, digital support, IT infrastructure or related digital technologies. The successful candidate will inspire and motivate learners, deliver engaging and innovative lessons, and support students to achieve positive outcomes, progression opportunities and career aspirations within the digital sector.
About the Role

Plan, deliver, assess and evaluate engaging and high-quality learning experiences for Level 2 Computing learners.
- Support the delivery of Computing-related T Level programmes where required.
- Develop and prepare learning materials using a range of teaching technologies and digital resources.
- Monitor learner progress and provide effective academic and pastoral support.
- Deliver innovative teaching methods that meet the needs of diverse learner groups.
- Promote equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, learning support assistants, technicians and employers to maximise learner success.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners and maintain accurate records of progress and achievement.
- Deliver tutorial activities and contribute to learners' personal development and progression.
- Participate in curriculum development, quality improvement activities and continuous professional development (CPD).

Essential Requirements

Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Computing, Digital Technologies or a related subject.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience of teaching Computing or a related curriculum area.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills.
- Passion for Computing and supporting learner achievement.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Understanding of safeguarding and learner welfare.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Desirable

Experience of teaching within a post-16 or further education setting.
- Experience of delivering vocational qualifications and/or T Levels.
- Internal verification qualifications or experience.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction (must be completed within probation), followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET) including Assessor is required, and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. Completion of this structured learning programme is expected within 3 years. Furthermore, there is the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Learning Status (QTLS).
