Sim & Skills Ltd., is looking for a part-time Operations Assistant to join our small team in Chesterfield, three days a week.
The role covers a genuine mix of work - hand-on warehouse tasks, stock management, and support with procurement. It would suit someone reliable and who takes pride in doing a job properly.

About the role...
As our Operations Assistant, you will be at the heart of the day-to-day running of our Chesterfield warehouse. Working closely with our Operations Manager, you will help make sure customer orders go out accurately and on time, incoming stock is checked in and put away properly, and the warehouse is a clean, safe and well-organised place to work.
It’s a practical, active role - you will be on your feet and involved in the physical work of the warehouse. But it’s also a role where attention to detail really matters; our customers rely on us to get their orders right, and you will play a key part in that.
What a typical day looks like...
- Picking and packing customer orders carefully and accurately
- Checking in deliveries against paperwork and putting stock away in the right places
- Updating our stock systems so records stay accurate
- Helping keep the warehouse tidy, organised and safe
- Flagging anything that doesn’t look right - damaged goods, discrepancies, stock running low
- Supporting the wider team with practical tasks as needed

- A careful, methodical approach and genuine attention to detail
- Comfortable being on your feet and doing physical work - lifting, carrying and moving stock
- Confident using a computer to update stock records (we’ll train you on our systems)
- Reliable, punctual and happy to work as part of a small team
- Right to work in the UK
- Reliable transport to reach our Chesterfield HQ
The details...
- Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm on Wednesday plus other days by agreement.
- Salary: £15,000 per annum (£25,000 FTE, pro-rata)
- Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro-rata), plus paid Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year.
