Clinical Response Group CIC (Team CRG) is a Community Interest Company providing professional medical cover across Norfolk and Suffolk. As a small, dedicated provider, we focus on delivering high-quality clinical care at a variety of local events, including festivals, sporting fixtures, fairs, and much more. We are currently seeking reliable FREC 3/ FREC 4 clinicians to join our team on an ad hoc basis.
The Role
We are seeking reliable, motivated FREC 3/FREC 4 clinicians to join our growing team. You will be able to provide independent pre-hospital care and support in emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients within your scope of practice. FREC 3/ FREC 4 clinicians may work autonomously or alongside other clinicians, depending on operational requirements. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a wide range of event environments. As a contractor for Team CRG, you will have the flexibility to pick and choose shifts that suit your availability. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work within the event industry across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality first aid care at events, incidents, and deployments, appropriate to the patient's condition
- Assess patients, deliver treatment within the scope of practice, and recognise when escalation or additional clinical support is required
- Use approved clinical equipment and interventions (e.g. defibrillation, airway management, basic monitoring) where trained
- Respond promptly to calls, operating effectively both independently and as part of a clinical team
- Accurately record, process, and share patient information, including observations and treatment, with relevant healthcare partners
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Control Room and colleagues in line with operational and clinical protocols
- Ensure all equipment is checked, maintained, and ready for operational use, including completion of required documentation (e.g. vehicle and equipment checks)
- Adhere to organisational policies, including confidentiality, data protection, and clinical governance standards (including Caldicott and ISO requirements where applicable)
- Safely assist with the movement and handling of patients using appropriate techniques and equipment following risk assessment
- Provide clinical assistance within your level of competence in a variety of environments, including static event settings
- Contribute to service improvement through participation in training, equipment trials, and feedback processes
- Act as Incident Officer when first on scene until relieved, following major incident procedures
- Maintain and develop professional skills through ongoing training, CPD, and organisational development frameworks
Essential Requirements
- Valid qualification (one of the following):
- Emergency Care Responder 3 (ECR3)
- Emergency Care Responder 4 (ECR4)
- Enhanced DBS certificate (in date or willingness to obtain)
- Have experience with being the clinician in charge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to travel to various event sites across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Desirable Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in event medical cover or emergency response
- Additional medical or clinical qualifications
