Position: Nursery Kitchen Assistant
Qualifications/Experience:
- Previous experience of working as a Kitchen Assistant
- Knowledge of HSE and COSHH
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene/Food Safety
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
- Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e.g., Safeguarding)
- Has worked as a kitchen assistant or cook in a nursery, school or other educational settings.

Duties:
- General cleaning duties to ensure the setting is clean and well-maintained at all times
- Ensuring a high level of hygiene is maintained throughout the setting
- Assist with in-room lunch service and preparation of food for service
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Collaborate with other staff members to support children's individual needs
- Assist with ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children and staff

Salary: £27000 -£29000 per year
Expected hours: 40hrs per week (Monday to Friday) based on Rota shift.
