Café Cook – Seabank House Café Bar
About the Role
Seabank House Café Bar is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Café Cook to join our friendly kitchen team.
You will prepare, cook and serve a range of fresh, light lunches while helping the kitchen run smoothly during busy service periods. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their food, works well under pressure and consistently maintains high standards of quality, cleanliness and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook a variety of light lunches according to our recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure orders are prepared accurately and served promptly during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen.
- Follow all food-handling, food-safety and allergen procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering requirements to the appropriate team member.
- Minimise food waste through careful preparation and stock rotation.
- Work closely with front-of-house and kitchen colleagues to provide friendly, efficient service.
- Follow all health, safety and sanitation requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Previous food preparation and cooking experience in a café, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
- Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food-safety procedures.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- A consistent and careful approach to food quality and presentation.
- Previous customer-service experience would be an advantage.
