We’re looking for a motivated and passionate team member to join us as a Sous Chef. Based at our Cotswolds coffee roastery, you’ll be a key member of the kitchen team, serving high quality and unique brunch dishes alongside the best specialty coffee in our 70 cover coffee shop.
You will be working in an open kitchen environment with a view straight through to the coffee roastery so you can watch our coffee being roasted! Along with this you will have the perfect view of the entire cafe so you can check out all the happy faces as you cook.

We’re a fast-growing speciality coffee roastery, based in the Cotswold countryside, just outside of Cirencester. We work closely with our countrywide partners, predominantly independent coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and food service groups to help them serve the highest quality coffee to their customers.
2024 was an exciting year for us, as we have taken on a new unit, doubling the size of our existing roastery, whilst significantly increasing the number of covers in our roastery coffee shop. We have also launched a new and exciting brunch offering.
The ideal team member should be:
- Passionate about great food - we take great pride in our brunch offering, using local craft producers to create the highest quality, yet not overcomplicated dishes.
- Somebody who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, open kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment and ingredients.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, working well under pressure.
- A hands-on team player with a passion for great food (and it helps if you’re into coffee!).
- Motivated, consider themselves a self-starter, and be customer service orientated.
- Willing to be flexible and get stuck in helping other team members - we are a dynamic, growing company and we work together to support each other.
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Able to work well both on your own, and as part of a small team.
- Knowledgeable on food safety and hygiene regulations, with relevant certifications.
As Chef you will be responsible for:
- Supporting in the management of all kitchen operations, maintaining high standards in food preparation and cooking.
- Taking charge of the kitchen when you are working alone.
- Helping to enhance the brunch menu, contributing creative ideas for new dishes and innovative presentations.
- Ensuring that all dishes are prepared, cooked and presented to a high standard.
- Maintaining high standards for every dish that leaves the kitchen, ensuring quality and presentation meet expectations.
- Helping in the management of stock, ordering supplies as needed and ensuring all ingredients are fresh and stored correctly.
- Helping to ensure that the kitchen complies with all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
