Business Engagement Specialist – 12 hours per week, until February 2027
At Education Business Partnership (EBP), each year we help a wide range of businesses to meet their objectives through the programmes we develop and deliver with them. We harness the value from nearly 4,000 volunteer hours and over 1,000 work experience placements for the benefit of young people across the region.
We are looking for a Business Engagement Specialist to join our Developing Skills Team ASAP on a fixed term contact until February 2027. This a temporary role to cover a staff sabbatical.

Key information:
12 hours per week – To be worked over 2 or 3 days
£12.71 per hour - (Full time equivalent £23,132)
38 weeks per year - Following the West Berkshire term dates
This role will require the successful candidate to:
· Work closely with colleagues in the Developing Skills team to gain an understanding of students’ requirements and programme objectives
· Contacting relevant businesses via telephone, email, via networking events etc to engage them with EBP’s work to assist with successful delivery across multiple projects
· Updating trackers and databases regularly to ensure visibility of progress towards targets/ against delivery plan
· Following up on contacts made through networking events/ e-shots/ other meetings etc to engage volunteers/secure work experience placements
· Other duties as required, for example: administrative support to colleagues, generating and sending correspondence as well as taking ownership of our volunteer online platforms
You must have:
· Demonstrable experience working in, or with, the business sector
Proven track record in delivering to customer requirements and to deadline
· Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiating ability, tact and diplomacy to promote good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Experience of working on multiple consecutive projects
· Competent I.T user (Office suite)
· Good attention to detail
· UK driving licence (own car)
It would also be helpful if you have:
· Previous experience in an administrative role
· Good geographical knowledge of the Thames Valley
· Working knowledge of the education sector
· Knowledge of current developments within education
