Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, demonstrating leadership and management skills. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering engaging activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and supporting their developmental progress through effective communication and care.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social development, and creativity.
- Supervise children during daily routines, including playtime, meals, and nap times, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages children’s independence and confidence.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, needs, and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development and daily activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support colleagues through teamwork, sharing best practices, and contributing to a cohesive nursery environment.
- Ensure the nursery adheres to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and best practices in early childhood development.
- Relevant childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent is required.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm in caring for young children.
- Valid driving license is desirable to facilitate transportation needs when required.
