An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a dynamic, evolving team within Clinical Engineering team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in the role of Medical Equipment Library Assistant. Possessing excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, you must be able to work autonomously and as part of our team.
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. As valued members of the team you will participate, direct and manage the medical equipment library service across the organisation.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery, retrieval and cleaning of medical devices from the medical equipment library on an operational level.
The successful candidate will provide guidance to nursing and other staff in use of medical devices and promote the use of the medical equipment library across the organisation.
The post holder shall participate in the performance of the library to ensure the medical equipment library service functions effectively to deliver the required service to clinical areas, this includes tracking devices using RFID technology and maintaining accurate records.
The post holder will be responsible for participating in a quality system within Clinical Engineering with the aim to achieve accreditation to provide assurance on the medical equipment library service being provided.
You should have strong influencing and negotiation skills and should have experience working in either an acute or community setting. A good knowledge of medical devices would be beneficial for this role.
