This summer could be the perfect time to start a career in care. Boomerang Healthcare is looking for caring, reliable individuals to join our team as Community Care Assistants, supporting adults in their own homes across Birtley and Gateshead.
This role is ideal for people who are happy to walk between local visits, as we keep our rounds close together and manageable. A car is not required.
No previous care experience is needed. If you're kind, compassionate, and willing to learn, we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.
What You'll Do
Every visit helps someone remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own home.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with washing, dressing, and personal care
- Preparing meals and refreshments
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Prompting and supporting with medication
- Helping people feel connected, valued, and supported

What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are:

- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Comfortable walking between local visits (essential)
