Here at CCS we are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our production team as a Trainee Laser Machine Operator.
Car & Commercial Solutions Ltd is a family-run business specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke vehicle conversions. We work with a wide range of customers, including police forces, emergency services, local authorities and commercial fleets.
The Role
The successful candidate will be trained to operate our Bodor fibre laser machine, producing accurately cut components for use across our vehicle conversion and manufacturing departments.
Previous laser operating experience is not required, as full training will be provided. We are more interested in finding someone who is practical, willing to learn, pays attention to detail and can work reliably as part of a busy production team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Learning how to set up and safely operate the fibre laser machine
- Loading and unloading materials
- Selecting and loading the correct programs
- Following engineering drawings and production requests
- Checking material types and thicknesses before cutting
- Inspecting finished components for accuracy and quality
- Reporting any machine or cutting issues
- Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Keeping the machine and surrounding production area clean and organised
- Working closely with the design, fabrication and production teams
- Following all company health and safety procedures

- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or production would be beneficial but is not essential
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am–4:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am–3:30pm
- Full-time, permanent position
- Site-based
