George Taylor is a leading manufacturer in the metal casting industry, supplying high quality iron casting to various engineering sectors. With an established reputation for craftsmanship and innovation, we are presently expanding our team and are recruiting Foundry Labourers to support our growing needs.
We are seeking hardworking and reliable Cast Iron Foundry Labourers to join our established manufacturing team. This is a physically demanding position within a hot and fast paced foundry environment, supporting the production of high quality cast iron components.
Responsibilities
- Help prepare and assemble sand moulds including cores
- Ensure moulds are accurately formed, cleaned, and finished to a high standard
- Operating foundry machinery and hand tools
- Support skilled foundry staff as required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety procedures
Skills
- Previous foundry or heavy industrial experience is advantageous but not essential
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work in a hot, noisy environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability and a willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
What we Offer
- 4 day working week ( 37 hours ) 7.45 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Thursday
