About the role
Our Arise Innovation hubs, based on Harlow Innovation Park and ARU Chelmsford campus support early-stage, innovative businesses working in our priority sector areas of life sciences, advanced manufacturing, digital and technology. We work closely with our partners across ARU in our research centres, institutes, learning and teaching and ARU temps departments to create opportunities for our businesses, staff and students.
Our Arise Innovation Hubs benefit from strong links to the wider ecosystem connecting into professional support networks, NHS partners, and local business organisations, ECC and local government initiatives. We are looking to appoint a full time individual to deliver operational coordination and management of relations with our businesses, based primarily at the Arise Innovation Hub in Harlow. The successful individual will have a degree or equivalent relevant qualification at degree level and provide day to day support to our internal business community and delivery of a range of activities in partnership with local organisations. Overall, this exciting role makes a highly valuable contribution to our ambition to provide centres of excellence in innovation and business support.
We have been delivering Arise Innovation hub services since 2014 from our Chelmsford hub and we have expanded to deliver Arise Innovation Hub in Harlow in 2021, located on the Harlow Innovation Park. We are looking for a suitably qualified, committed, enthusiastic and skilled individual with relevant experience to support growth of our business community at the Harlow Hub and to support engagement locally and with the wider business community.
The operation of the Arise hubs are well established and you will be responsible for maintaining levels of occupier satisfaction, connect occupiers with support available from our university and partners and contribute to the development of new services in support of business innovation. You will be responsible for working with university colleagues and local authority partners to support the position of the Arise Innovation hubs and their activities as a Centre of Excellence in innovation and business support. The successful candidate will provide coordination of day-to-day management to ensure the Arise Innovation hubs deliver the planned outputs in line with our 10-year strategy and underpinning delivery plans.
