We're on the lookout for compassionate, confident, and proactive Support Workers to join our Positive Behaviour Team. You’ll work closely with a young adult who has additional learning needs and presents with behaviours that challenge, empowering them to lead meaningful, fulfilling lives.
This is more than a care and support role. It’s a chance to be part of something impactful helping this individual to grow, gain independence, and experience life to the fullest.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing consistent, 3:1 person-centred support
- Helping the individual to access education, activities, and outdoor experiences
- Using positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Delivering support with dignity and compassion when required
- Collaborating with families and professionals to ensure holistic care
- Maintaining accurate daily records and shift notes
- Adapting to changing needs in a dynamic, outdoor-based environment
- Embrace the elements and thrive in diverse outdoor environments, working in all weathers and across varied terrains
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge
- Calm, patient, and non-judgemental approach especially in tough moments
- A positive, energetic personality with a flair for fun and a playful approach to any situation!
- Ability to follow care plans and work as part of a supportive team
- Flexible, proactive, and resilient ready for the unexpected
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development
- A Health & Social Care qualification is desirable (or willingness to train)
- A driving licence or reliable transport – due to our rural location
