Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent driving skills. Experience with commercial driving and flatbed deliveries is highly desirable.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, across designated routes
- Load and unload goods accurately, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers upon completion of each drop
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in accordance with company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times to ensure safe transportation of goods
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, particularly with commercial driving roles
- Familiarity with flatbed delivery operations is advantageous
- Proven ability to drive safely and responsibly over long distances
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems within the area served
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record
- Experience in handling goods securely during transit and unloading processes
Salary
You will be required to work from 10am to 6pm 7 days a week and will be paid £40/day flat rate plus the deliveries.
