The Role

Whether it's a board meeting over breakfast, a birthday dinner in the Library, cocktails in the Blue Room, a wedding feast, a private celebration in the Snug or a summer party spilling out into the terrace garden, every event has its own story.
As our Events & Celebrations Manager, you'll help bring those stories to life.
You'll be the first point of contact for many of our guests, guiding them from their initial enquiry through to the event itself. But this isn't just a planning role—you'll also be there on the day, welcoming guests, supporting the team and ensuring every event runs seamlessly from start to finish.
Working closely with our Front of House, Kitchen and Hotel teams, you'll help establish Artist Residence Bristol as one of the city's favourite places to meet, celebrate and connect.
What you'll be doing
Managing enquiries for meetings, private dining, celebrations, weddings and exclusive hire events.
Welcoming guests for show rounds and helping them choose the perfect space.
Planning every detail, from menus and timings to room layouts and guest requirements.
Preparing function sheets and communicating event details clearly across the business.
Leading events on the day, acting as the main point of contact for guests and the team.
Working closely with our Front of House, Kitchen and Bar teams to ensure every event runs smoothly.
Supporting the team during service and helping create a warm, relaxed atmosphere for every guest.
Identifying thoughtful opportunities to enhance bookings through menus, drinks and personalised experiences.
Building relationships within the local community to help grow our meetings and events business.
Working alongside our Marketing team to promote our event spaces, seasonal events and celebrations.
About you
You'll love bringing people together and genuinely enjoy helping others celebrate life's big (and small) moments.
You're organised, proactive and calm under pressure, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships. You'll be just as comfortable replying to an enquiry as you are welcoming guests, leading an event or supporting the team during a busy service.
Experience in hospitality, events or sales is important, but we're equally looking for someone with warmth, initiative, great attention to detail and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences.
