Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes
- Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality, presentation, and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work stations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and ordering when necessary
- Support junior kitchen staff by providing guidance and training as required
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a busy restaurant or hotel environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen setting is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- A recognised culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred but not essential
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
