Leeds Beckett Students’ Union is seeking a Finance Coordinator to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with finance or accounts administration experience to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of a busy, student-focused organisation.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will be responsible for a range of finance activities, including processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, supporting payroll processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and audit preparation. You will help ensure that our financial systems and processes run smoothly, efficiently and in line with organisational requirements.
We're looking for someone who is confident working with financial systems, has excellent attention to detail, and can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and a collaborative approach are essential.
Key skills and experience:
Previous experience in a finance, accounts or bookkeeping role
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Experience using financial software and Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
Collaborative and customer-focused approach
