Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to lead our finance team. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic decision-making processes. Duties
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the organisation’s financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of accounts payable and receivable using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Mentor and develop junior finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business planning, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and overall financial controls.
- Demonstrable ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in analysing complex financial data and presenting insights clearly to stakeholders.
