We're looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.
Rate of Pay: £24,521 per annum

Role Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation, assembly, and distribution of patient meals in line with menu requirements and dietary needs.
- Prepare patient meal trolleys, ensuring all food items are correctly packed and ready for service.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and infection prevention throughout all catering areas.
- Wash and sanitise crockery, cutlery, utensils, catering equipment, and meal delivery trolleys.
- Carry out daily cleaning duties within food production, assembly, storage, and wash-up areas.
- Assist with the receipt, storage, and stock rotation of food and catering supplies.
- Follow all food safety, health and safety, and Trust procedures at all times.
- Report any equipment faults, food quality concerns, or service issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Work effectively as part of the Patient Catering Team to ensure meals are delivered safely, accurately, and on time.
- Provide a professional and courteous service when liaising with colleagues, ward staff, and other departments.

What we are looking for

Previous catering experience in a similar environment (desirable).

Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided if not held).

Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.

Passion for customer service and ability to work independently and in a team.

Adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident with strong organisational and time management skills.
