Overview:
JRPass Ltd is one of the leading companies selling the Japan Rail Pass and other travel products for those who travel to Japan.
We are looking for a responsible and capable Office Administrator to support daily office operations and assist management activities by managing administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and providing excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, dependable, and capable of managing responsibilities independently. As the role involves working alone in the office for much of the week, strong self-management and initiative are essential as well as willingness to learn and grow in the role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in office administration and operations.
Key tasks:
- Dealing with enquiries by email and telephone
- Processing of Japan Rail Pass and other travel product orders
- Issue of refunds
- Troubleshoot courier delivery issues
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Manage daily office administration and ensure smooth day-to-day office operations responsibilities
- Handle office communications and documentation
- Assist management and learn office procedures
- Ensure that all office supplies are stocked and organised for efficient workflow
- Other ad hoc/assigned tasks as required
Requirements:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- A responsible, trustworthy, and proactive approach to work
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working alone while maintaining a high level of productivity and organisation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Mail/Drive
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Preferred
- Previous administrative, office experience or customer service experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (excluding public holidays)
(1 hour lunch break)

£24,000 per annum

Note
*Please note that there is a dog in the office.
*Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. This includes Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) visa holders with at least 18 months remaining on their visa.
