About the role:
A fixed term opportunity has arisen in the Point of Care Testing (POCT) Department at Barnet Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with good communication, personal skills and a committed team worker who would support the delivery of POCT services to a UKAS standard.
The role will involve technical and administrative support for the POCT service in the implementation of the Trust wide POCT policy.
The post holder will work under both direct and indirect supervision on the wards and in the departments of the Trust and areas of the Community that use Point of Care Devices and in the Pathology laboratories. This will also involve working alongside the POCT Manager and POCT Senior BMS ensuring training, verification of devices, Quality assurance and troubleshooting is provided within the Trust and community setting.
The successful applicant will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday covering the service between 9:00AM to 17:30PM. This will also involve covering Sundays or Bank Holidays when required by the service.
