Removal Driver & Furniture Assembly Operative
Good Movers Ltd is looking for a reliable Removal Driver & Furniture Assembly Operative to join our removals team.
The main responsibilities of this role will be driving our Luton vans and dismantling and reassembling customers' furniture during house moves
When not dismantling or assembling furniture, you will also be expected to assist the removals team with carrying furniture, boxes and other household items to and from the van.
You do not need to be an experienced van loader/stacker, as other members of the removals team will take responsibility for loading and stacking the vehicle. However, experience of loading and safely stacking removal vans would be a bonus.
What we're looking for
- Confident and competent driving Luton vans
- Full UK driving licence
- Good practical ability and experience dismantling and reassembling furniture, including beds, wardrobes, tables and similar household furniture
- Physically fit and able to help carry furniture and boxes
- Careful and respectful when working in customers' homes and handling their belongings
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Friendly and professional with customers
- Previous removals experience preferred, but not essential
- Experience loading/stacking removal vans would be an advantage, but is not requiredWorking hours will vary depending on our removal bookings, so flexibility is important.
We are looking for someone practical and dependable who can become a regular member of our removals team.
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
