We are currently recruiting for Forklift Drivers to join our Gafoor Team on permanent basis as follows:
· Monday – Friday from 05:00 – 17:00 (2 breaks x 45 minutes) – 52.5 working hours weekly
· Monday – Friday from 08:00 – 20:00 (2 breaks x 45 minutes) – 52.5 working hours weekly
· Monday – Friday from 11:00 – 23:00 (2 breaks x 45 minutes) – 52.5 working hours weekly
ABOUT GAFOOR:
With over 60 years of customer focused experience Gafoor stands today as one of the UK’s long established-reliable poultry processors. Located in Preston, Gafoor is an independently owned family business which operates from a purpose-built modern plant producing fresh-quality, just-in-time chicken for our valued customers.
The role:
You will work indoors in the Lairage Department in our purpose-built modern, fast paced, poultry processing facility, where you will operate a forklift truck vehicle to assist with the unloading of vehicles as required..
Duties include but not limited to:
- Conducting daily forklift truck checks and reporting any faults to the manager
- Completing paperwork as required and liaise with the Lairage supervisor
- Keeping the Lairage area tidy and the trays or pallets in correct position
You will:
- Recognised and valid FLT Counterbalance qualification
- Previous experience of operating a Forklift
- Have a positive attitude and work ethic;
- Possess excellent communication skills;
- Be able to work as part of a team and independently
The rate of pay is the competitive rate of:
- Hourly rate – £13.10 per hour, Overtime rate - £16.37 per hour
- Weekly Pay (Before taxes) – up to circa £687.75per week
- Salary (Before taxes) – up to circa £35,763.00 per annum
