We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the nursery manager, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children. Duties
- Assist the nursery manager in daily operational responsibilities, including planning activities and managing staff schedules
- Supervise staff and ensure that all childcare practices meet regulatory standards and organisational policies
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff
- Support staff training and development initiatives to uphold high standards of childcare and early childhood education
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting as required
- Drive organisational initiatives that promote inclusive practices and continuous improvement within the nursery
Key Qualifications
- Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years/Childcare
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a nursery
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
