Corner Park Garage is a busy, well-established garage and vehicle dealership. We're looking for a skilled and reliable mechanic to join our workshop team, working on a wide range of vehicles from routine servicing through to major mechanical repairs.
The Role
We need someone confident handling the full range of workshop jobs — from day-to-day servicing to more involved mechanical work. Typical tasks include:
- Engine rebuilds and major mechanical repairs
- Timing chain and timing belt replacements
- Brake work — discs, pads, and callipers
- Oil changes and routine servicing
- Diagnostics and fault-finding
- General vehicle maintenance and repairs across a range of makes and models
Hours & Pay
- 40 hours per week, with some overtime available at peak times
- From £31,200 a year (based on £15.00 per hour, 40 hours per week)
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a mechanic/vehicle technician, comfortable with both routine and major mechanical work
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) preferred
- Own tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- MOT tester licence an advantage but not essential
