Test Technician
Responsibilities

Carry out hydraulic performance testing of completed pump sets to verify flow rates, pressure and duty point performance against specifications.

Conduct leak testing on pipework, fittings, valves and tank connections, identifying and recording any defects prior to dispatch.

Perform electrical testing and verification of control panels, inverters and wiring installations.

Follow testing procedures and specifications to validate completed units.

Complete accurate test records, certificates and non-conformance reports where required.

Work closely with the production team to resolve faults identified during testing.

Ensure all tested units are correctly labelled and signed off in line with quality procedures.

Maintain a clean, organised and safe testing environment.
Knowledge and Skills
-
Practical understanding of hydraulic systems, fluid mechanics and pump performance principles (training can be provided).

Basic electrical testing knowledge, including safe isolation procedures and use of test equipment (training can be provided).

Experience of pressure testing and leak detection methods desirable.

Familiarity with cold water boosting, pumping or heating systems advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when completing documentation and test records.

Ability to follow testing procedures and quality standards consistently.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a production team.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
