A great opportunity to join the asset and engineering team at Northwood HQ in the position of On-Site M&E Technician with an electrical bias. This key post is a static role, joining a multi-disciplined team of technicans providing hard services (maintenance and reactive services) to the client.
As a M&E Technician (Electrical), you will:
- Perform PPMs, statutory compliance tasks and reactive works investigations/repairs on, but not limited to, the Low Voltage electrical systems on site

Service, test, diagnose and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to the building services plant and equipment

Liaise / assist with other services as necessary for the efficient delivery of work activities, workmanship and productivity to comply with the performance standards

Use provided test and monitoring equipment for the purpose of maintaining engineering system operational performance and to aid fault diagnostics and repair, interrogate and adjust systems to maintain correct operation of plant and equipment

Interrogate and adjust systems to maintain correct operation of plant and equipment

Carry out electrical, mechanical and system checks associated with maintaining a compliant environment in the relevant areas in accordance with current legislation
What you'll bring to the role:
-
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent (including recognised apprenticeship) with an electrical bias

Excellent team working and problem solving capabilities
-
Must be able to fully satisfy the Client security clearance minimum requirements (SC)

Working knowledge of other building services and trades
-
Experience of Engineering Services Maintenance
-
Qualified electrician (18th edition)

Experience of complex electrical installations including UPS and Generators - desirable
Work experience in a MOD environment and compliance with MOD Safe Systems of Work (JSP375, Vol 3) - Desirable
