Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Universal Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for precision grinding and finishing of components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. A strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and familiarity with hand tools are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual grinding machines and related equipment to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes on components.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and tooling to perform grinding, and polishing tasks.
- Perform basic assembly tasks, including fitting parts together and verifying tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Use basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks during production processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in grinding or machining within a manufacturing environment..
- Competence with hand tools, power tools, and other workshop equipment.
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions precisely.
