Whether you're looking for weekend work, evening shifts or extra hours around your existing commitments, we'd love to hear from you.
Woodbridge Rugby Union Football Club is much more than a rugby club. We are a vibrant community venue hosting rugby fixtures, family events, private functions and one of the area's popular annual beer festivals.
We're looking for motivated Bar Staff who will help create a welcoming atmosphere for members, players and visitors alike.
The opportunity
As a member of our bar team, you'll play an important role in delivering excellent customer service while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clubhouse bar.
In this role, you will:
-
provide friendly, professional customer service to members and visitors
-
prepare and serve drinks efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
-
help open and close the bar, following club procedures and maintaining high standards
-
support stock management by replenishing fridges, rotating stock and reporting shortages
-
work closely with the kitchen and wider club team during busy periods and events
-
keep the bar, clubhouse and outdoor areas clean, safe and presentable throughout your shift
-
operate the till and card payment systems accurately while handling cash responsibly
-
support match days, private functions, club dinners and special events throughout the year.
Who are we looking for?
Experience behind a bar is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
We're looking for someone who is:
-
friendly, approachable and enjoys working with people
-
calm and organised, even during busy periods
-
reliable, punctual and flexible with working hours
-
a team player who is happy to support colleagues across the clubhouse
-
committed to maintaining high standards of customer service, cleanliness and professionalism
-
willing to follow licensing, food hygiene and health and safety requirements
-
due to the nature of the role 18 years old or older.
Why join Woodbridge Rugby Club?
Woodbridge Rugby Club is a friendly, inclusive club where everyone works together to make visitors feel welcome. You'll join a supportive team, receive full training from our experienced Bar Manager and have opportunities to work a variety of events throughout the year.
We understand that flexibility matters, so shifts are offered around fixtures, club events and private functions, with as much notice as possible. Every day is different, making this a rewarding role within a fantastic community club.
Ready to join the team?
If you're motivated, reliable and enjoy working with people, we'd love to hear from you.
