Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Twilight Care Assistant to join our care home team. This role involves providing support and companionship to residents during the evening hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and have a genuine interest in delivering high-quality care. Previous experience in home care or care homes is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives while working within a supportive environment.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care routines, including washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being during the night shift, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Support residents with their evening routines, such as medication reminders and meal assistance
- Ensure the safety and security of residents by conducting regular checks throughout the shift
- Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or urgent situations
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ conditions and activities in accordance with care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a warm and caring environment
- Assist with light domestic tasks to ensure the comfort of residents’ living spaces
Skills
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents
- Organised and reliable with the ability to work independently during night shifts
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly in emergency situation

Pay: £12.71-£13.41 per hour
